Facilities Engineer – Electromechanical

Job Overview

The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of electromechanical systems within buildings, focusing on electrical, mechanical, ELV, and HVAC components. This role demands ensuring that all maintenance activities are performed safely and comply with established technical standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Organize and manage preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance operations.
• Supervise and assess the performance of electrical, mechanical, ELV, and HVAC systems.
• Carry out technical inspections to determine maintenance needs.
• Diagnose technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Coordinate efforts among supervisors, technicians, and external specialist contractors.
• Monitor system efficiency and reliability continuously.
• Ensure all activities adhere to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies and industry standards.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation and maintenance recommendations.
• Assist in the planning and oversight of technical teams.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• At least three years of experience in facility management.
• Experience managing projects of similar scale within the GCC region.
• In-depth understanding of electrical, mechanical, and ELV systems.
• Familiarity with Qatari standards relevant to the role.
• Solid grasp of Quality Management principles and QHSE compliance requirements.
• Proficient in both Arabic and English languages, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred certifications include QCDD and Grade B classification by Kahramaa or other recognized authorities.
