Role Overview
The Store Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations within a large-format retail setup. This leadership role involves ensuring sales targets and KPIs are met and driving a superior customer experience. The manager will lead cross-department coordination, maintain operational standards, and promote commercial success through effective inventory and merchandising strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily store operations for seamless retail activity execution.
- Drive store performance to meet and surpass sales goals and operational KPIs.
- Track metrics including customer traffic, conversion rates, average transaction size, and sales productivity.
- Maintain high customer service standards and resolve escalated issues.
- Lead, mentor, and develop store staff to reach performance objectives.
- Ensure adherence to visual merchandising guidelines and execute promotional initiatives effectively.
- Manage inventory levels, restocking processes, and product availability.
- Collaborate across Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Marketing, and Commercial departments to streamline operations.
- Analyze store KPIs and generate detailed performance reports with insights.
- Manage operating costs and seek opportunities for expense optimization.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or related fields.
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in retail, preferably in large-format or multi-category environments.
- Demonstrated success in store management or high-level retail leadership positions.
- Consistent achievement of sales targets and effective KPI management.
- Expertise in team leadership, coaching, and staff performance management.
- Commercially driven focus on sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory handling, and in-store processes.
- Advanced analytical abilities to interpret sales and operational data effectively.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
