Job description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Export Logistics Manager to oversee the complete export shipment process. The ideal candidate will coordinate all aspects of air and sea shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. This position is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all stages of export shipments from initiation to delivery.
- Effectively coordinate both air and sea transportation of goods.
- Liaise and maintain productive relationships with freight forwarders, Customs House Agents (CHA), shipping lines, and transport providers.
- Prepare and manage all necessary export documentation and facilitate customs clearance processes.
- Negotiate freight charges to optimize cost efficiency and maintain control over logistics expenditures.
- Monitor shipment progress and swiftly address any delivery or logistics issues that arise.
- Maintain management information systems (MIS), and keep accurate shipment records and reports.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Warehouse, and Regulatory departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the export logistics team to meet operational goals.
