About the Role

The Tower Hotel & Leisure Centre in Waterford is looking for a seasoned Receptionist to become a vital member of our Front Office Team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences that uphold the high standards that distinguish Neville Hotels from competitors.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and anticipate their needs.
  • Carry out tasks related to guest check-ins, check-outs, and cash handling efficiently.
  • Handle reservations both online and by phone when necessary.
  • Manage incoming calls and direct them appropriately via a switchboard system, meeting company standards.
  • Maintaining a professional representation of Neville Hotels at all times.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to guest requests.
  • Follow hotel policies, procedures, and standards in all duties.
  • Remain knowledgeable of daily hotel operations, guest rooms, amenities, and hotel services.
  • Contribute to maximizing bedroom sales and maintain strict revenue control.
  • Ensure proper security procedures concerning guest belongings like luggage, storage, and deliveries.
  • Be empowered to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Exemplify gracious hospitality through friendly, courteous, and helpful behavior toward guests and colleagues.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the front desk and back office areas.
  • Adapt to various shifts and working days as per the departmental rota.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year’s previous experience in a Hotel Front Office role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Eligibility to live and work full time in Ireland with documented proof.
