About the Role

Join the dynamic team at Nando's PERi-PERi as an Expeditor. This role serves as an essential connector between the kitchen staff and customers, ensuring orders are prepared promptly, meet the restaurant's high standards, and are delivered to the appropriate customer. The Expeditor also handles the preparation and packaging of take-out orders, representing the final customer interaction point. Efficiency, organization, professionalism, and a welcoming attitude are critical to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate smoothly between kitchen operations and customer service.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and delivery of food orders.
• Package and prepare take-out items with care and attention to detail.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach when guiding guests.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to enhance guests' overall dining experience.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to take instruction and function well in a team-based environment.
• Maintain composure and efficiency during busy periods.
• Dedication to delivering quality service and possess knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Familiarity with safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
• Basic proficiency in English for clear and professional communication.

Physical Demands

• Capacity to independently lift items up to 15 lbs for prolonged periods.
• Ability to stand, walk, and navigate stairs while carrying food items or dishes throughout an entire shift.
• Endurance to stand or walk for 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Good hand-eye coordination and mobility including reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting overhead, and stair climbing.
