Executive/Senior Engineer - 22kV Operations & Maintenance

Role Overview

As an Executive/Senior Engineer specializing in 22kV operations and maintenance, you will oversee and lead a team responsible for maintaining and repairing network equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and cables up to 22kV. Your role involves strategic planning, implementation, and management of predictive and preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability of the electrical grid.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of officers conducting maintenance and fault repairs on network equipment and cables, including low voltage networks.
• Plan and execute comprehensive maintenance and retrofitting programs aligned with budgets and timelines.
• Develop and review operational work procedures and best practices.
• Participate actively in study teams, task forces, or committees related to network operations.
• Address customer concerns and feedback effectively.
• Perform high voltage switching, load transfers, and ensure safe isolation of high voltage equipment and cables.
• Oversee site management and supervise contractors and staff during maintenance activities.
• Be on standby duty for network incidents occurring during or after office hours, including major events such as the National Day Parade, National Day Rally, and Formula 1.
• Prepare contingency plans for handling network incidents.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Electrical Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated team player attitude with a positive approach and capability to meet tight deadlines.
