Deputy Director - Compute & Storage

Role Overview

Lead the Compute & Storage division within the IT/OT Infrastructure, ensuring that the compute, virtualization, storage, directory services, and platform infrastructure are secure, resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient in supporting both IT and OT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strategic technology roadmap for Compute & Storage.
• Drive initiatives for platform modernization including virtualization, storage, Active Directory, backup/recovery, and infrastructure refresh programs.
• Research and integrate emerging technologies to enhance resilience, efficiency, and business value.
• Ensure sustained availability, optimal performance, and support for Windows and Unix/Linux platforms, enterprise storage, virtualization solutions like VMware and Nutanix, Active Directory, and backup/disaster recovery systems.
• Supervise operational support and ensure smooth transition of projects to Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations.
• Lead automation projects to boost operational efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness.
• Direct infrastructure projects such as storage refresh, VMware upgrades, Active Directory recovery and refresh, SAN infrastructure expansion, data center growth, and server refresh initiatives.
• Maintain cybersecurity compliance and governance standards within infrastructure; enhance disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity capabilities.
• Manage infrastructure vulnerabilities and lifecycle risks while supporting Cybersecurity and IT/OT security requirements.
• Handle compute, storage, and virtualization capacity planning; optimize resource allocation and infrastructure utilization.
• Implement metrics and reporting mechanisms for infrastructure consumption and forecasting.
• Oversee infrastructure budgeting including CAPEX and OPEX, lead vendor tendering processes, evaluations, contract negotiations, and review service performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Compute & Storage team, establish technical standards, operational procedures, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with teams across I&OT, CIS, SPD, and business stakeholders to ensure aligned, effective delivery of outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience managing compute and storage systems for large-scale enterprise environments supporting 2,000+ users.
• Proven track record in handling compliance and audits aligned with IT best practices for critical enterprise systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate, influence, and engage with diverse technical and business stakeholders.
