Role Overview and Purpose
This role involves supporting the sales function by ensuring timely delivery of materials to customers, efficient warehouse management, and enforcing all prescribed systems and procedures to achieve commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing customer service by reviewing Order Cycle Time for deliveries to dealers and project sites, ensuring deliveries meet specified benchmarks.
- Collaborating regularly with customers and the sales team to identify and resolve material service issues.
- Providing logistical support to other businesses such as Home Improvement for storage and delivery of materials.
- Overseeing warehouse operations including enhancing CFA manpower productivity, performing scheduled stock verifications, and implementing corrective actions for stock variances.
- Maintaining all documentation and legal agreements pertinent to warehouse management.
- Using and promoting the Transport Management System to optimize customer service and review route plans for efficiency.
- Assessing infrastructure needs for warehouses and sales offices and proposing capital expenditure projects, ensuring timely execution according to schedules.
- Assisting the Regional Commercial team in preparing annual overhead budgets, monitoring freight cost per ton and other overhead expenses to stay within budget.
- Managing vendor payments according to agreed terms, ensuring no outstanding payments, goods receipts, or advances remain open, and coordinating outstanding closure and quarterly balance confirmations with vendors.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory licenses applicable to warehouse and office operations, updating compliance portals by deadlines, and initiating corrective actions for any non-compliances.
- Supporting internal and external audits such as ISO and 5S by providing necessary documentation and participation.
- Conducting scheduled safety audits and monitoring safety parameters to maintain a safe working environment in warehouses and offices.
- Preparing and circulating monthly reports covering various operational parameters promptly.
Educational Qualifications
- Graduate degree in any discipline (BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, BBM, BMS)
- Minimum 50% marks throughout educational track record with no backlog subjects
- Degree must have been obtained through a full-time course
