Executive Engineer - Instrumentation/Electrical

Job Overview

This role requires familiarity with detailed engineering in instrumentation and electrical domains. Candidates should be adept at interpreting input documentation such as P&ID, hardware loop drawings, cabling data, and software function plans. Core responsibilities encompass hardware and software engineering as well as Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze project input documents including P&ID, hardware loop diagrams, cabling, and software function plans.
• Conduct basic engineering activities for hardware, software, and HMI; including preparation of IO databases and assignment.
• Perform detailed hardware engineering, including panel design and wiring connection diagrams using software like AutoCAD, E-Plan, COMOS, Tec4FDE, and Microsoft Visio.
• Carry out detailed software engineering involving the design and development of logic sequences and interlocks for drives and controllers.
• Design HMI components such as plant displays, trends, and reports.
• Manage factory acceptance testing (FAT) of hardware, software, and HMI designs.
• Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and support during plant trial runs.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Familiarity with power plant processes is a plus.
• Knowledge of various Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as Siemens DCS, PLC, PCS7; ABB P13/P14, ABB-XA 800, Bailey Infi90.
• Proficient with hardware design tools including AutoCAD, E-Plan, ELCAD, MS Visio, Siemens Tec4FDE, and COMOS.
• Experience with software design tools like SPPA-T3000 is advantageous.

Educational and Eligibility Criteria

Applicants holding a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering are eligible. Fresh graduates can apply for the role of Trainee Executive Engineer, while candidates with relevant experience can apply for the Project Engineer position.
