Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned senior broker to join our Auckland office as an Executive Director within the Corporate Broking division. This role focuses on managing risk and insurance solutions for some of New Zealand's largest corporate clients.

Role Responsibilities

As an Executive Director, you will maintain and expand a portfolio of key corporate clients by delivering strategic risk advice and superior service. You will work collaboratively with clients, insurers, and colleagues to develop tailored risk management solutions, seek opportunities for client growth, and contribute to business strategy.

  • Manage client contract renewals by overseeing premium calculations and policy evaluations.
  • Deliver accurate and professional responses to client inquiries through effective liaison with clients and underwriters.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing accounts and potential new clients, emphasizing Aon’s value proposition.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering the development of broking talent.

Candidate Profile

Successful candidates will be adept relationship builders who earn trust through clear and sincere communication, capable of engaging and presenting to senior leadership including C-suite and Boards. Experience managing complex insurance portfolios is essential, along with a deep understanding of the industry.

  • Established background in risk and insurance brokerage.
  • Possession of, or progression towards, the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) – General Insurance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker able to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
