About the Role

Join a nationally recognized general contractor as a key Estimator on their expanding team based in Little Rock, AR. This position is essential in supporting successful construction project planning and execution across diverse sectors such as commercial, retail, K-12 education, government, office spaces, research institutions, higher education, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, and sports and recreation facilities. This role offers the chance to leverage expertise in cost estimating, bid preparation, and blueprint analysis within a dynamic and innovative setting.

Responsibilities

  • Generate detailed, accurate project cost estimates and bids for a wide range of construction initiatives.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, proposals, and related documents to forecast labor, time, and cost requirements.
  • Perform comprehensive risk assessments to facilitate successful project completions.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and architects throughout the estimating process.
  • Monitor industry market trends to ensure cost-efficiency in project implementation.
  • Engage in proposal presentations and attend project meetings to provide valuable insights.
  • Maintain and update a thorough database of cost specifications and historical estimates.
  • Offer expert consultation on project planning, scheduling, and cost summary reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years' professional experience in construction estimating or related fields.
  • Demonstrated expertise across multiple sectors, including commercial, retail, K-12, government, office, research, higher education, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, and sports and recreation construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of project estimation methodologies, cost management practices, bid preparation, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Proficient in using estimating software alongside spreadsheet tools.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking and critical reasoning abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or equivalent considered beneficial.

Compensation and Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000 annually. The company offers a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to work with a stable, nationally recognized general contractor known for a strong portfolio and rich heritage.
