About the Role

A respected national manufacturer specializing in custom equipment is entering a phase of expansion and is looking to hire an Estimator to support this growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate estimates for projects.
• Conduct site surveys.
• Provide value-engineering solutions to clients.
• Measure fence lines and gate sizes by taking off from drawings.
• Negotiate terms and pricing directly with customers.
• Coordinate with the purchasing team to keep pricing information current.
• Engage with suppliers to obtain pricing details.
• Handle incoming enquiry calls professionally.
• Manage the entire handover process from sales to contract fulfillment.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven background in estimating roles.
• Experience collaborating with large contracting firms.
• Understanding of construction workflows including instructions, variations, mobilisation expenses, and retentions.
• Competence in taking off measurements from technical drawings.
• Able to work effectively with teams to ensure smooth transitions between sales and contracts departments.
• Experienced in conducting cost reviews post job completion.
