Job Description

The company seeks an Estimator to analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and related documentation to prepare accurate estimates for time, cost, materials, and labor associated with projects or products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantity take-offs aligned with drawings and specifications to create detailed estimates.
  • Examine Invitations to Bid (ITB) to understand and qualify project scopes.
  • Interpret architectural plans and specifications to extract project requirements.
  • Manage and update computer databases related to pricing, estimates, and item lists.
  • Authorize and process purchase orders exceeding budget estimates.
  • Support maintaining take-offs, item costs, and contract pricing accuracy.
  • Assist in negotiating costs effectively.
  • Handle communications from potential new vendors and field personnel.
  • Source and obtain vendor quotes as required.
  • Conduct all activities professionally and ethically to enhance customer satisfaction and company profitability.
  • Be willing and able to work overtime when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Preferably holds a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Possesses two to four years of relevant experience or training within residential construction.
  • Owns a vehicle and holds a valid driver’s license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and email communication.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with estimating software such as Blue Beam.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capacity to handle multiple deadlines with excellent attention to detail.

  • Annual salary ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 based on qualifications and experience.
