Overview

A Tier 3 principal contractor based in Inner Sydney is seeking an Estimator to join their team and contribute to commercial construction projects. Key Responsibilities

• Develop competitive tenders starting from first principles.
• Engage and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Perform risk assessments by analyzing project plans and schedules.
• Evaluate scope of work to estimate costs related to labour, machinery, subcontractors, duration, and other factors influencing project expenses.
• Establish project programs and budgets from structural phases through to final handover.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Proven experience estimating construction projects valued between $1 million and $10 million.
• Previous exposure to construction, fit-out, and refurbishment projects is highly desirable.
• Comprehensive understanding of the New South Wales construction market, including knowledge of subcontractor networks.
