Role Overview
This role involves playing a vital part in producing precise cost estimates, analyzing construction plans and specifications, and working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely, accurate, and budget-compliant project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate detailed sales and production cost estimates for residential housing projects.
- Examine architectural plans and specifications to develop comprehensive costings and Bills of Quantities.
- Procure pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to verify cost accuracy.
- Collaborate with Sales, Prestart, and Construction teams during the entire build process.
- Evaluate and price contract variations as necessary.
- Keep accurate records of estimates and project-related data.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience as an estimator in the residential construction sector.
- Solid knowledge of Western Australian building codes, materials, and construction techniques preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting residential construction plans and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication abilities and strong skills in managing stakeholder relationships.
