Role Overview

The Brisbane team is expanding and seeks an Estimator to assist in developing cost plans, tenders, and pricing for recurring projects, Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) assignments, and fixed-price tenders. This position suits individuals hands-on with estimating tasks who collaborate effectively with project teams to deliver precise, competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop cost plans, tender submissions, and pricing estimates.
  • Support repeat projects, ECI engagements, and firm-price tender opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to collect necessary information to prepare submissions.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project specifications thoroughly.
  • Spot risks, identify gaps, and seize commercial opportunities during the estimation process.
  • Prepare subcontractor packages along with bills of quantities.
  • Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to secure pricing details.
  • Keep market rates and pricing data current and thorough.
  • Contribute actively to bids involving multi-residential, retail, and industrial development projects.
  • Utilize estimating software such as CostX for accurate pricing and quantity measurement.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience in estimating for multi-residential, retail, and/or industrial construction sectors.
  • Strong commercial insight coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Confident in preparing cost plans, tenders, and pricing documentation.
  • Effective communicator with skills in managing stakeholders.
  • Experienced across diverse markets and trade sectors.
  • Background in Quantity Surveying or closely related fields is highly regarded.
  • Proficient with CostX or comparable estimating software tools.
