Role Overview

Located in the Gold Coast office, the Senior Estimator will assume a proactive leadership role. Responsibilities include crafting winning bidding tactics, collaborating with key internal and external partners, and executing high-quality cost planning for repeat works, Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) projects, and fixed-price tenders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of comprehensive cost plans, tenders, and pricing frameworks for repeat contracts, ECI engagements, and hard dollar tenders.
• Collaborate closely with project teams and relevant stakeholders to formulate strategies that enhance bid success.
• Apply hands-on estimating expertise across a diverse array of projects, including multi-residential, retail, and industrial developments, typically ranging between $10 million and $200 million.
• Assess project needs, associated risks, and commercial opportunities to produce accurate, competitive, and thoughtful submissions.
• Maintain and utilize a strong network of subcontractors and suppliers across key trades and markets to support competitive pricing and tendering processes.
• Prepare subcontractor packages alongside detailed bills of quantities.
• Offer leadership, mentorship, and guidance within the estimating team to promote collaboration and continuous process improvements.
• Forge robust relationships across the organization to influence bid formulation, enhance delivery quality, and support company growth.

Candidate Profile

• Proven extensive experience in estimating within multi-residential, retail, and industrial construction sectors.
• Commercial awareness with sharp judgment and strong attention to detail.
• Confidence and proficiency in cost planning, repeat work estimations, ECI strategies, and hard dollar tender preparation.
• Exceptional communication abilities and effective stakeholder relationship management.
• Capability to produce competitive and well-informed bids spanning multiple markets and trades.
• Educational background in Quantity Surveying or a related field is highly preferred.
• Experience with CostX or equivalent estimating software is essential.
