Job description
Role Overview
Al Habib Alum and Glass Cont LLC is looking for a meticulous and proficient Estimation Engineer to join their team in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and tender documents thoroughly.
- Generate precise quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and prepare quotations.
- Gather and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Create rate analyses and detailed cost breakdowns to support budgeting.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value engineering to optimize projects.
- Assist with the preparation and prompt submission of tender documents.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, quantity surveying, or related disciplines.
- Have 3 to 5 years of practical experience in estimation or tendering roles.
- Experience working in the UAE market is preferable.
- Strong familiarity with Bills of Quantities, construction drawings, cost calculations, and rate analyses.
- Competent in the use of MS Excel and AutoCAD software.
- Excellent analytical thinking, communication abilities, and keen attention to detail.
