Job Description

This position involves cleaning and disinfecting clinical and non-clinical areas within hospital or healthcare facilities. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restocking bathroom supplies, stripping and making beds, operating heavy floor care equipment, washing ceilings and windows thoroughly, emptying hazardous waste, and maintaining supplies and linens. The employee will also alert supervisors to potential hazards and may train or orient new environmental or laundry staff.

Work Details

• Location: Peace River Community Health Centre
• Employment Status: Regular Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
• Shift Duration: 7.75 hours per shift over 2-week cycles
• Shifts: Day, evening, night, weekends, with days off per rotation
• Salary Range: $22.58 to $24.68 hourly
• Vehicle use not required

Required Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent education
• Basic computer and smartphone operational knowledge
• Capacity to stand and walk for long periods and perform repetitive motions throughout shifts
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs of force
• Strong communication skills to follow oral and written instructions
• Dependability and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning roles preferred
• Experience in healthcare environment cleaning is advantageous
