Job description
About the Role
We are looking for a highly seasoned Environmental Manager with over 20 years of expertise in environmental compliance specifically within hydrocarbon and chemical refinery complexes. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional background in overseeing large-scale environmental management projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP), focusing on waste reduction and effluent treatment strategies.
- Serve as a liaison with environmental regulatory bodies to maintain strict adherence to applicable rules and standards.
- Supervise operations related to effluent treatment plants, oily water separators, air quality emissions, and noise level monitoring.
- Oversee biodiversity initiatives, hazardous waste handling, and groundwater conservation measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Master’s in Environmental Science/Engineering.
- Certification as an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or accreditation as an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Practitioner is advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of environmental legislation including FMEnv, NESREA, and DPR/NUPRC regulations.
- Demonstrated track record managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental Management Plans (EMP), and comprehensive environmental oversight of significant projects.
