About the Role
Kāinga Ora invites applications for an Enterprise Architect role that provides an exceptional chance to contribute meaningfully at a national level. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping one of New Zealand’s largest public sector tech transformations. This includes enhancing the organisation’s architecture and security capabilities encompassing Enterprise and Solution Architecture, Technology Risk, Cyber Security, and Governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
As a senior leader in architecture, you will spearhead the development and continuous refinement of enterprise-wide architecture practices. Responsibilities include creating standards, governance frameworks, security controls, and assurance processes that underpin how technology decisions are made. You will offer strategic oversight across all business capabilities and technology sectors, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives and sustainability. Furthermore, you will influence architecture roadmaps, design patterns, and reference models that empower digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements and Expectations
The ideal candidate is an experienced strategic thinker motivated by impactful outcomes who thrives working at an enterprise scale. This role demands leadership in managing complex architecture challenges, maintaining secure and cost-effective technology investments, and harmonising business strategy with architectural direction.
Additional Information
This position is embedded within a unified Architecture & Security operating model. You will contribute to organisation-wide information architecture practices and help build robust, secure, and future-ready digital solutions that serve both Kāinga Ora and the wider community.
