About the Role
The Manager – Information is a senior leadership position at Kāinga Ora focused on creating and guiding the enterprise-wide information and knowledge management strategy. This role ensures that information assets are managed and governed effectively to support a data-driven, intelligent organisation, fostering enhanced decision-making and a seamless digital workplace experience across Kāinga Ora.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organisation’s comprehensive information management strategy and roadmap.
- Create and uphold governance frameworks, policies, and standards related to information management.
- Ensure adherence to the Public Records Act alongside all pertinent regulatory compliance requirements.
- Lead the deployment and maintenance of information lifecycle management systems and processes.
- Promote continuous improvement and introduce innovations, including adoption of emerging technologies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to champion enterprise-wide adoption of information strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing information management team.
- Contribute strategically to the Data, Insights & AI leadership initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Proven leadership experience in managing information and governance in complex organisational environments.
- Expertise in records management, compliance, and navigation of regulatory frameworks.
- Strategic mindset with capacity to execute strategy effectively.
- Strong leadership capabilities, including talent development and team management.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and influence.
- Experience in steering organisational change and fostering continuous improvement.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of distilling complex notions into clear language.
- Understanding and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and partnership principles.
