Role Overview
We seek an Engineering Manager to direct our Deployment Engineering team across North America. This role requires a results-driven leader who thrives in rapid-growth settings, combining deep technical expertise with active, hands-on leadership. You will oversee a team of Forward Deployed Engineers engaged in creating agentic solutions on Cohere's North platform in on-premises environments, focusing on secure AI integration within demanding industries such as finance, healthcare, and telecommunications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and guide Forward Deployed Engineers building agentic solutions with the North platform in on-premises settings.
- Ensure customer success by managing technical delivery from implementation to completion.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to refine enterprise AI deployment strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong technical relationships with customers' stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of continuous innovation and improvement throughout the agent development and deployment lifecycle.
- Develop scalable processes that facilitate multi-client agent deployment and development.
Qualifications
- Over 8 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of engineering team management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineers in dynamic, high-growth environments.
- Practical experience building and deploying enterprise-scale software, with emphasis on agentic applications.
- Proactive problem solver with strong initiative and drive to deliver results.
- Strong communication skills in English, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure.
- Background knowledge in enterprise security and regulatory compliance.

Compensation
Salary range is CA$320,000 to CA$385,000 annually.
