About the Role
Join Pushpay as an Engineering Manager where you'll play a pivotal role leading product enhancements that impact thousands of daily users. This leadership position focuses on guiding skilled squads through a significant product modernization initiative, collaborating closely with Product and Tech Leads to elevate customer experience on our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor 4 to 8 engineers across one to three high-performing teams, fostering a people-first and trust-based culture.
- Drive strategic software delivery in cooperation with Tech Leads and Product Managers, ensuring smooth translation of product strategies into effective execution.
- Engage in technical leadership by participating actively in architectural discussions, critically evaluate project estimates, identify potential blockers, and provide solutions.
- Bridge engineering complexities and business objectives by clearly communicating trade-offs and their impacts.
- Champion the adoption of modern software development practices including cloud technologies (AWS), continuous integration/deployment, and AI-assisted developer tools to enhance development velocity and team effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated success in managing engineering teams within SaaS or cloud-based product environments.
- Proven track record of delivering quality features, modernizing legacy applications, and continuously improving development processes.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native technology stacks, especially AWS, microservices, and modern web/mobile frameworks, enabling meaningful technical engagement.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Product, UX, and Delivery teams.
- Passionate about coaching and mentoring engineers, promoting a strong understanding of the rationale behind product decisions.
