Engineering Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an Engineering Lead to remotely manage and expand a dynamic engineering team. This role blends hands-on technical guidance with people leadership to drive product development, nurture engineer growth, and enhance team operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a group of 5 to 10 engineers to deliver the product roadmap effectively.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, development conversations, and performance evaluations.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor new engineering team members.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to make architectural and technical decisions balancing trade-offs.
• Work alongside product and design teams to plan, scope, and execute project delivery.
• Establish and improve engineering practices, operational standards, and team rituals.

Qualifications and Skills

• Over 6 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years of managing engineering teams.
• Proven success in leading teams that reliably deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Strong technical expertise and credibility recognized by senior engineers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Demonstrable experience in hiring, developing, and nurturing engineering talent.
• Adept at balancing active technical involvement with leadership responsibilities.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range between $150,000 and $230,000 USD equivalent, adjusted based on experience, credentials, and location.
