Role Summary

We seek a seasoned engineering leader to steer our Mobile Infrastructure team, responsible for the underlying technical layers of the OKX mobile app used daily by millions. You will manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, shape the platform engineering strategy, and collaborate closely with product teams to ensure a speedy, dependable, and scalable mobile experience. This position centers around infrastructure creation rather than feature delivery, focusing on systems, tools, and frameworks that empower the mobile division.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a mobile infrastructure engineering team while promoting accountability and ownership.
• Define technical vision for tooling, shared frameworks, performance optimization, and developer experience platforms.
• Advocate and integrate AI-assisted tools into workflows—covering code generation, testing, reviews, and incident diagnostics—to boost delivery quality and speed.
• Make critical architecture choices and set engineering standards ensuring scalable, reliable, and maintainable mobile platform solutions.
• Partner with product engineering units to resolve challenges and elevate engineering quality organization-wide.
• Oversee production performance aspects such as memory management, package size, startup speed, and UI rendering for an audience of millions.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including design, backend, security, and product teams to ensure platform alignment and delivery.
• Act as subject matter expert for advanced infrastructure issues, preserving the platform’s resilience and scalability.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses at least 8 years in mobile engineering, including a minimum of 3 years leading teams in infrastructure, platform, or architectural roles.
• Demonstrates leadership success in team growth and technical decision-making with a proactive attitude.
• Deep knowledge of iOS or Android development platforms, particularly the underlying platform layer, tooling, and developer experience.
• Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools as an integral part of engineering procedures and leading teams through such transitions.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to align across functions and engage various stakeholder levels.
• Adapts well to ambiguity and rapid change, making sound technical decisions in dynamic environments.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience managing specialized mobile architecture or infrastructure teams.
• Proven track record optimizing mobile performance metrics including memory usage, package size, startup times, and rendering speeds at scale.
• Background incorporating AI features or embedding AI functionalities into engineering workflows at team or organizational scales.
• Familiarity with cross-platform mobile frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
• Experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, or consumer applications with high user volumes.
