Job description
Job Purpose
This position is aimed at overseeing the delivery of engineering work packages related to infrastructure and software development. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders throughout the "Build & Run" project lifecycle is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of engineering tasks, managing scheduling, budgets, risks, and resources.
- Track project milestones and progress to guarantee on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Organize and manage meetings with customers, project reviews, and progress updates.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams including Systems Engineering, Software Development, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and IVVQ.
- Partner with Project Managers and engineering leads to optimize resource allocation and skill management.
- Detect and address risks, issues, and obstacles to maintain project flow.
- Advocate and implement Agile and Lean methodologies to enhance delivery effectiveness and team productivity.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet project goals.
- Guide delivery teams with mentorship, promoting ongoing improvement and knowledge exchange.
- Ensure that engineering procedures align with quality, cybersecurity, and governance standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in software or engineering delivery, including minimum 3 years in a Delivery Manager or Work Package Manager capacity.
- Proven history of managing complex projects within multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.
- In-depth knowledge of project management fundamentals such as scheduling, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
- Experience collaborating with Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Solution Architects, and Systems Engineering teams.
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration software like Jira and GitLab.
- Strong familiarity with Agile, Lean, and collaborative engineering methods.
- Experience in projects demanding high cybersecurity and critical system standards is highly advantageous.
- Holding PMP or IPMA certifications is a plus.
- Fluency in English required; knowledge of French and/or Arabic is beneficial.
