Key Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough understanding and adherence to all department policies, service standards, and procedures.
• Execute installations, repairs, and upkeep of plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and supply lines, ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Ensure plumbing fixtures in guest rooms and public areas operate perfectly and meet required standards.
• Diagnose plumbing faults promptly and devise effective rectifications.
• Monitor and maintain water quality for fountains and water features through appropriate filtration, chemical treatment, and disinfection practices.
• Perform routine cleaning, component replacements, and address flow or lighting issues in water installations.
• Inspect and service plumbing, drainage, and sewage systems, including water tanks, pumps, risers, and water lines to prevent leaks and maintain system integrity.
• Operate and maintain pump room equipment such as pumps, valves, and control systems to guarantee reliable water supply.
• Install and sustain pressure regulators to maintain suitable water pressures consistent with all applications and fixtures.
• Promote water conservation by installing eco-friendly fixtures and systems that minimize water usage.
• Abide by health, safety, and environmental codes and regulations at all times.
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks.
• Follow personal protective equipment protocols and safety procedures rigorously.
• Ensure premises remain clean and orderly after job completion.
• Communicate promptly with Engineering Supervisor and Duty Engineer regarding maintenance progress, priorities, and delayed tasks.
• Respond swiftly to service orders and emergencies through the Knowcross system, recording meter readings accurately.
• Uphold hotel policies when accessing guest rooms for maintenance while preserving guest privacy and security.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals and uphold the Perfect Room Program standards for guest rooms and public areas.
• Participate actively in all safety and training sessions organized by the Hygiene, Health & Safety Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper working condition of pump rooms, workshops, and all associated equipment.
• Stay aligned with company culture, policies, vision, mission, and core values, acting as a brand ambassador at all times.
• Anticipate and proactively manage departmental needs and emergencies, including fire precaution procedures.

Additional Information

The role requires continuous communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety and operational protocols. Maintaining water system efficiency, quality, and safety standards is paramount. The Engineer must ensure maintenance records are current and service requests are promptly closed within the communication system.
