Job Overview
This role involves the management and administration of various database services including MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB. Key responsibilities include capacity planning, installation, backup and recovery procedures, performance monitoring, optimization efforts, and troubleshooting of database systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Administer and oversee MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, and other data services ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Collaborate with development and production teams on database schema design, deployment of environments, and related implementation tasks.
- Analyze and refine existing database architectures and configurations to enhance stability and increase efficiency.
- Investigate and adopt innovative technologies and methods to establish resilient and highly available data persistence solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- At least two years of full-time experience in database administration or allied areas; experience with database DevOps is advantageous.
- Comprehensive expertise in database design along with experience supporting large-scale distributed storage systems such as MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
- Strong command of SQL and understanding of relational database concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting with at least one scripting language, including Shell or Python.
- Competence with Linux operating systems and solid skills in system troubleshooting.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
