Data Engineer

Job Overview

Master Works is looking for a Data Engineer to develop and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure data platform. This platform will support analytics, data science, and downstream applications by providing reliable core data infrastructure, developer tools, and self-service capabilities enabling efficient and secure data usage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and upkeep the core data infrastructure and platform.
• Create reusable and self-service data pipelines and internal platform services.
• Implement data orchestration frameworks along with observability and monitoring systems for the platform.
• Maintain data quality, integrity, and reliability across various systems.
• Establish and enforce standards, best practices, and architectural patterns for the data platform.
• Integrate diverse data sources such as APIs, databases, and streaming systems.
• Administer and optimize data storage solutions, including data warehouses and data lakes.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data needs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to enhance performance.
• Adopt industry best practices concerning data security, governance, and compliance.
• Thoroughly document the data architecture, pipelines, and processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in constructing and managing large-scale data platforms or systems.
• Proficiency in advanced SQL and programming in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Hands-on expertise with Informatica tools such as PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services.
• Experience working with data orchestration platforms like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Strong understanding of data lake, warehouse, and Lakehouse architecture models.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or equivalents.

Job Location

This position is based onsite at the client site located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
