About the Role
Micron Technology's Singapore NAND Process Development team is seeking a dedicated engineer to spearhead the design, enhancement, and manufacturing transition of advanced Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) processes tailored for next-generation 3D NAND memory technology. This role provides a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of memory innovation, collaborating with global teams, suppliers, and manufacturing units.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the advancement of CMP process development specifically for cutting-edge 3D NAND memory technologies.
- Characterize and optimize CMP processes for upcoming memory nodes, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate with international teams and suppliers to meet technological and integration objectives.
- Manage the transfer of new CMP processes into manufacturing and focus on ongoing improvements relating to yield, quality, cost, and operational efficiency.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve manufacturing and process-related issues effectively.
- Design and execute experiments (DOE) to enhance process capability and manufacturability.
- Assess new consumables, hardware, and future process technologies for implementation.
- Promote process simplification along with monitoring and control strategies to optimize CMP workflows.
- Contribute to innovation efforts via patents, technical publications, and development of new technologies.
- Ensure adherence to Micron’s intellectual property policies while partnering closely with worldwide collaborators.
- Leverage approved AI tools to boost productivity and quality, including summarizing technical data, drafting experiment plans, accelerating troubleshooting, and enhancing communications. Responsible AI usage and confidentiality are mandatory.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience is required.
- Proven engineering experience with a history of successfully leading projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Strong communication skills and aptitude for collaborative work.
- Aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced and ambitious work environment.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Background working in memory and storage technology development is advantageous.
- Familiarity with advanced engineering software and tools is beneficial.
- Proven ability to succeed in a competitive technology field.
