Engineer Electrical

Position Overview

The Electrical Engineer role offers independent engineering support for projects ranging from limited to moderate complexity under senior engineer guidance. The engineer contributes to electrical design, coordination, and delivery throughout project stages, adhering to engineering standards, quality benchmarks, and regulatory requirements to ensure exemplary project results.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support and deliver electrical engineering design and services across all project phases including concept design, design development, and contract documentation.
• Perform electrical engineering design tasks compliant with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Troubleshoot routine and some non-routine electrical engineering issues, escalating complex challenges to senior personnel as necessary.
• Assist in upholding design quality and construction standards aligned with company and project requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate authority submissions related to electrical engineering aspects (e.g., BCA, LTA, PUB, SP Group) with appropriate oversight.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and maintain open communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to compliance with company Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) policies and practices.
• Utilize AI-enabled and digital tools to enhance engineering analysis, design development, documentation, and coordination, applying professional judgement and maintaining awareness of ethical and security considerations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A recognized Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore (PEB).
• At least 3 years of relevant electrical design engineering experience, preferably in building services or infrastructure projects within Singapore.
• Familiarity with Singapore Codes of Practice, local authority submission protocols (BCA, LTA, PUB, SP Group), and applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Capability to apply established electrical engineering principles to projects of moderate complexity and support lifecycle stages from design development through to site assistance.
• Experience with design tools and systems relevant to electrical engineering; knowledge of BIM and CAD software is advantageous.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Interest or exposure to computational, digital, or AI-related engineering tools such as BIM automation and AI-assisted design techniques.
