Employee Relation Specialist

About the Role

A major technology and digital solutions company based in Qatar, with significant involvement in IT services, cloud, data centers, and digital transformation, is seeking a seasoned Employee Relations Specialist to join their team in Doha.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all employee relations issues, including grievances and general workplace concerns.
• Lead thorough employee investigations and propose suitable recommendations or measures.
• Oversee disciplinary procedures, manage performance challenges, and develop Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as necessary.
• Apply and interpret human resource policies, procedures, and relevant Qatar labor laws.
• Provide guidance and coaching to managers related to employee relations, conflict management, and communication strategies.
• Handle intricate and confidential employee relations cases with discretion.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at employee engagement and recognition.
• Keep meticulous records of documentation and cases concerning employee relations.
• Ensure that HR and employee relations practices comply with employment legislation and internal standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
• At least eight years of experience in HR, with substantial hands-on expertise in employee relations.
• Previous work experience in the field of Employee Relations or HR within Qatar is mandatory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Qatar Labor Law and employment regulations.
• Practical experience managing grievances, investigations, disciplinary actions, employee conflicts, and PIPs.
• Strong skills in stakeholder relationship management and interpersonal communication.
• Fluent professional proficiency in both Arabic and English, written and spoken.
• Holding HR or Human Capital certifications would be an added benefit.
