About the Role
We are looking for a capable and driven Electrical Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, installing, and maintaining electrical systems tailored to customer needs within substation and distribution settings. An emphasis on adherence to electrical standards, meticulous work quality, and a proactive approach is essential. A tool of trade vehicle will be provided for work-related use only.
Role Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and maintain electrical equipment for substation and distribution environments according to customer specifications.
- Ensure all electrical tasks comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Maintain precise records and documentation for all completed work.
- Take full responsibility for assigned tasks, ensuring quality and accountability throughout all stages.
- Use strong problem-solving skills to quickly and safely diagnose and resolve issues.
Qualifications
- Certificate in Electrical Engineering or progression towards one is favorable.
- Registered Electrician with EWRB (Electricity Workers Registration Board) is mandatory.
Experience and Skills
- Proven experience working with substations (11kV–110kV) and/or distribution network equipment (400V–11kV) in construction or maintenance roles.
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative, positive approach to teamwork.
- Strong analytical and fault-finding capabilities.
- Practical proficiency in both mechanical and electronic aspects.
- Ability to operate independently or collaboratively as required.
- Physically fit to meet demands of on-site activities.
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering precise, quality work.
