Role Summary
The Electrical Estimator will play an integral role in project planning and execution based from the Maynooth office. This position involves collaborating with the Estimating Manager and multidisciplinary engineering teams to tender and manage project bids.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling tenders for large-scale projects across diverse industries.
- Managing the complete tender lifecycle from initial bidding to completion.
- Consistently coordinating with relevant stakeholders throughout the process.
- Updating management regularly on bid progress and opportunities.
- Participating in pre- and post-tender meetings and interviews.
- Gathering and consolidating subcontractor quotes ensuring specifications compliance.
- Representing the company in internal and client meetings when necessary.
- Performing detailed quantity take-offs from tender documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant Engineering degree is required; a trade background is beneficial.
- Experience in data center projects is preferred to demonstrate industry knowledge.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration.
- Exceptional organisational ability and planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Familiarity with estimating software such as Trimble or equivalent.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in high-value estimating roles.
