Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our Maintenance division at the Damastown office in Dublin 15. This role demands a sound understanding of mechanical equipment, processes, and materials integral to project tendering in various sectors across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage tenders throughout their lifecycle, from initial preparations to finalization.
- Conduct thorough site visits alongside the construction team to gather accurate data.
- Review and analyze tender documentation including drawings, specifications, and schedules in detail.
- Engage with suppliers, subcontractors, and relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate quotations and proposals.
- Assess and verify quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for validity and accuracy.
- Prepare and issue tender RFIs, followed by reviewing client responses with the Estimating Team.
- Participate in meetings and site inspections as necessary to support project progress.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 1 to 2 years of experience in mechanical estimation or a related capacity.
- Possession of a relevant mechanical engineering qualification.
- High attention to detail with capability to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
- Strong communication skills combined with effective time management abilities.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation capabilities, ensuring precision in all dealings.
- Proficiency with computer applications, particularly Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while employing solid problem-solving skills.
