Job Overview

An experienced Electrical Estimator is sought to join a prominent Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) contracting firm based in Dublin. The role involves working on various commercial and industrial projects, contributing to competitive tender submissions and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze relevant data to prepare lump sum, unit rate, and cost-plus estimates.
• Develop and submit competitive tenders by negotiating discounts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review tender documents carefully to clarify and resolve any ambiguities prior to submission.
• Collaborate closely with the supply chain team to ensure pricing accuracy and competitiveness.
• Prepare tender adjudication documents and conduct risk assessments for management approval.
• Assess labor rates, subcontractor bids, and design details to enhance cost effectiveness.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Estimators and Junior Estimators to strengthen team skills.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a relevant electrical qualification, at minimum FETAC Level 6 Advanced or Higher Certificate.
• Have over five years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Estimator in M&E projects.
• A trade background in electrical work is advantageous.
• Experience with projects in Ireland or the UK, alongside eligibility to work in Ireland without needing a permit.
• Familiarity or experience with estimation software is a desirable plus.

• Salary ranges from €65,000 to €75,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
