About the Role

Our team is looking for a skilled Electrical Estimator specialized in substations to support our company’s growth by delivering precise cost estimates on projects involving electrical substations, transmission lines, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). This is a direct hire position located in Gettysburg, PA, offering a salary range from $120,000 up to $200,000 annually along with company-covered benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering labor, materials, and equipment for substation, transmission, and BESS construction projects.
• Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to grasp project scopes and requirements.
• Ensure all estimates and projects adhere strictly to current electrical codes and related regulations.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to collect necessary details for accurate estimating.
• Prepare competitive bids and proposals to win new project opportunities.
• Leverage estimating software such as Accubid and EBM to enhance precision and efficiency in all estimation activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least five years of hands-on experience in electrical estimating focused on substations, transmission, or medium/high voltage utility endeavors.
• Proficiency with Accubid and EBM estimating software applications.
• Strong knowledge and application of electrical code compliance within construction projects.
• Excellent ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Proven track record in preparing sound cost estimates and competitive proposals.
