Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join a significant construction initiative in Riyadh. The candidate should bring 8 to 10 years of expertise in electrical quantity surveying and cost management for infrastructure and building sectors, especially with post-contract experience. Candidates with strong pre-contract knowledge may also be considered.
Core Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, analyze, and validate electrical quantity take-offs and measurement details.
- Handle management of variations, claims, and modifications to project scopes.
- Track and monitor project finances, budgets, and identify any potential financial impacts.
- Compile interim payment requests and assess payments due to subcontractors.
- Scrutinize contract documentation for alignment with project needs and standards.
- Provide commercial and project teams with cost reporting, forecasting, and financial insights.
- Collaborate with site, engineering, and procurement departments to enforce accurate cost control measures.
- Assist in preparations for final accounts and project completion closure activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field.
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in construction projects involving infrastructure and buildings.
- Well-versed in quantity surveying techniques, cost control, change and variation management, and contract administration.
- Preference for professionals experienced in post-contract processes.
- Good understanding of FIDIC guidelines and construction contract methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and specialized quantity surveying or cost management software.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
