Electrical Estimation Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a motivated Jr. Electrical Sales & Estimation Engineer to join our Pune location. The role involves hands-on training to develop skills in estimating costs, preparing technical proposals, and supporting sales in the electrical control panel industry, including products like MCC, PCC, PLC, VFD, and APFC panels.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand Requests for Quotations (RFQs), customer requirements, and technical specifics.
• Assist senior engineers in generating cost estimates for low-tension control panels and preparing Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain component pricing and technical information.
• Contribute to the preparation of techno-commercial quotations and proposals.
• Learn and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD), general arrangement drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Support preparation of technical documentation and ensure adherence to IEC/IS standards and electrical panel manufacturing processes.
• Help identify cost-effective engineering solutions to benefit projects.
• Assist the sales team by addressing customer inquiries and following up on quotations and feedback.
• Prepare technical clarifications and documents related to projects.
• Foster professional relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Coordinate effectively with design, purchasing, production, and quality assurance departments.
• Support order documentation, project handover, and maintain accurate records of quotations and communication.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors as part of the training and development process.

Eligibility Criteria

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering or allied fields such as Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, or Electronics and Instrumentation.
• One to three years of relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with electrical control panels, switchgear, PLCs, VFDs, and AutoCAD is advantageous.
• Good communication skills, a willingness to learn, and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email.
• Enthusiasm to work in a manufacturing setup focusing on estimation and technical sales.
