Electrical Design Engineer

Job Overview

This role based in Gurugram requires an Experienced Electrical Design Engineer with 1-3 years of experience, having a background in Electrical Engineering. The primary responsibility is to design the entire AC/DC electrical components of Solar Power Plants, including preparation of Bills of Materials (BOM), Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Detailed Project Reports (DPR), and design calculations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review various layouts and detailed drawings such as Array layouts, AC/DC Single Line Diagrams, Inverter layouts, LT and HT trench layouts, and Cable schedules.
• Prepare and review electrical plans, technical specifications, and perform calculations related to DSLP, earthing, short circuit forces, cable sizing, relay settings and coordination, and sizing of electrical equipment.
• Utilize AutoCAD software proficiently to create electrical layouts and schedules.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to obtain necessary documents and information to complete the design tasks effectively.
• Conduct field site visits to gather complete project details, ensuring design accuracy and practical applicability.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Materials and technical documentation for solar plants up to 400kV capacity.
• Draft detailed technical specifications for AC/DC side electrical equipment used in solar power plants.
• Ensure timely submission of all design deliverables to respective teams.

Qualifications and Eligibility

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, or a related electrical discipline.
