Key Responsibilities

• Identify and oversee foreign exchange risks stemming from external commercial borrowings, foreign currency loans, imports, payables, and contractual obligations.
• Implement and manage hedging strategies utilizing financial instruments including FX forwards, swaps, cross currency swaps, various currency options (cost option structures, participating option structures), zero cost collars, and other approved derivatives.
• Maintain hedge coverage within sanctioned limits by regularly monitoring and recommending necessary adjustments.
• Track mark-to-market valuations and assess hedge effectiveness routinely.
• Monitor fixed and floating rate debt portfolios and execute interest rate risk management using swaps, caps, collars, and rate options.
• Analyze benchmark interest rates such as SOFR, treasury yields, and lending rates to optimize interest costs and reduce debt risks.
• Track commodity price exposures related to key procurement materials like solar modules, steel, aluminium, and copper, supporting hedging via swaps, futures, and options.
• Negotiate with banks and financial institutions to obtain optimal pricing, premiums, spreads, and swap points; manage trade confirmations, settlements, and documentation for treasury dealings.
• Ensure strict adherence to treasury policies, FEMA, RBI regulations, and ISDA documentation standards.
• Support hedge accounting compliance under Ind AS 109 including documentation and effectiveness testing, and generate regular reports on exposures, hedge positions, MTM, risk limits, and treasury performance.
• Collaborate with multiple internal teams such as project finance, procurement, business finance, taxation, and accounting, as well as external banking partners.
• Assist in funding activities and financing operations that involve currency and interest rate risk management.

Technical Proficiencies

• Expertise in FX derivatives including forwards, swaps, cross currency swaps, and currency options.
• Comprehensive understanding of interest rate derivatives such as interest rate swaps, caps, and collars.
• Experience with commodity derivative products for price risk mitigation.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including FEMA and RBI guidelines.
• Knowledge of Ind AS 109 hedge accounting processes.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and treasury management information systems.

Education & Experience

Preferred candidates should have an MBA (full-time) or be CA-Intermediate or CA qualified, with 2-5 years of relevant experience in treasury or risk management roles.
