Electrical Design Engineer - Power Transformer

Join the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India as an Electrical Design Engineer focused on Transformer Design. You will collaborate with an innovative, diverse international team within the Transformers Business Unit, which drives energy solutions across various industries dedicated to a sustainable future.

Key Contributions

• Participate as a member of a global engineering team specializing in designing Power Transformers up to the 400 kV class for multiple countries.
• Influence technical specifications during order initiation through conceptual discussions.
• Prepare electrical order designs adhering to factory constraints, guidelines, and project timelines while ensuring compliance with IEEE, IEC, and IS standards.
• Create customer documentation, manufacturing documents, and Bills of Materials per project schedules.
• Coordinate design activities across an international network of factories.
• Engage in internal design concept reviews to ensure quality and innovation.
• Exemplify team-building and networking capabilities within a multicultural environment.
• Collaborate effectively with global technical teams, maintaining safety and integrity aligned with company values.
• Ensure adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2 to 12 years of experience in electrical design within the Power Transformer manufacturing sector, with flexibility for candidates outside this range.
• Strong knowledge of transformer electrical design principles including thermal, dielectric, short circuit, acoustic performance, and mechanical aspects.
• Familiarity with IS, IEC, and IEEE standards is essential.
• Experience with simulation tools or software development is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other related software tools.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, to liaise with international teams.
• Ability to build teams and foster collaboration is preferred.
