Opportunity Overview
Join Hitachi Energy as a Quantity Surveyor and become an integral part of a team driving sustainable advancements in the energy sector infrastructure. This role focuses on comprehensive cost management for building and civil engineering projects, covering everything from initial budgeting to final account settlement.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review cost estimates for tenders and contractual documents, collaborating closely with architects and clients to prepare bills of quantities.
- Implement risk assessment, value management, and maintain cost control throughout the project timeline.
- Identify and evaluate commercial risks, formulate responses, and provide guidance on procurement strategies.
- Manage subcontractor allocations, evaluate completed work for payment processing, and handle financial administration.
- Advise on contractual claims, conduct detailed outcome analyses, and compile comprehensive progress reports.
- Stay informed of the latest building contract formats and their applications.
- Understand and consider health and safety regulations in project execution.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent field, combined with verified experience in quantity surveying, particularly in sizable industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction costs, procurement procedures, and contract law.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant quantity surveying software tools.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, numerical aptitude, and negotiation capabilities.
- Ability to operate autonomously as well as collaboratively, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Membership in professional organizations such as RICS or CIOB is advantageous.
