The Early Morning Stock Associate plays a vital role in ensuring customers enjoy a positive shopping experience at all times. This role demands courteous, friendly interactions with customers and fellow associates, maintaining a clean and well-organized environment, and adhering strictly to company standards. The associate works across multiple areas of the store as needed to support operational and customer service goals, particularly during morning stock shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and maintaining clear, clutter-free emergency exits.
• Maintain vigilance on the sales floor to preserve a secure shopping environment and promptly address or report safety concerns to store leadership.
• Engage professionally with customers and colleagues, exhibiting respect, friendliness, and courtesy throughout interactions.
• Offer assistance to customers, including register operations, merchandise help, and providing knowledgeable answers to inquiries, always greeting and thanking customers politely.
• Respond quickly and effectively to customer service requests, escalating issues to store leadership when necessary.
• Represent and uphold the company brand positively at all times.
• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, and replenishing restroom supplies to maintain a healthy and orderly store atmosphere.
• Uphold a professional appearance in line with the company dress code standards.
• Conduct daily merchandise sizing and recovery following company best practices to ensure neat and organized displays.
• Efficiently move newly received merchandise to the sales floor, merchandising items according to monthly presentation guidelines and staying familiar with brand offerings to assist customers effectively.
• Follow loss prevention procedures, including awareness programs, merchandise protection standards, and proper handling of stock disposition through management approval.
• Maintain confidentiality and honesty in all dealings with associates and customers, safeguarding sensitive information and store assets.
• Comply with all cash handling policies and maintain accuracy in financial transactions.
• Work with a sense of urgency to maximize productivity, adhering to store best practices and minimizing unnecessary steps in workflow.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong verbal communication skills to interact respectfully and cooperatively with customers, associates, and leadership.
• Basic math skills commonly applied in retail settings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift objects weighing over 25 pounds.
• Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Spend nearly 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving throughout the store.
• Operate store equipment such as PDT devices, registers, and computers as required.
• Use janitorial tools, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned equipment responsibly.
• For stockroom shifts, regularly push, pull, and lift items over 20 pounds.

Additional Information

Some assignments may request additional qualifications or skills depending on situational needs. Supervisory responsibilities may apply on occasion.
