Early Morning Stock Associate

General Purpose

The Retail Associate plays a vital role in delivering a positive shopping experience for customers by greeting them warmly, maintaining a respectful and courteous attitude towards both customers and fellow associates, and adhering strictly to company standards for presentation and safety. This role involves actively engaging in a variety of tasks across the store as business needs arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety by practicing secure behaviors consistently and maintaining a clutter-free environment with clear emergency exits, promptly correcting or reporting hazards to leadership.
• Provide respectful, friendly, and professional interactions with all customers and associates, including using company recognition programs to acknowledge colleagues.
• Assist customers with merchandise inquiries, perform register operations, and respond promptly and politely to customer service requests and issues, escalating to leadership as appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness and order by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing high-touch areas, replenishing restrooms, and ensuring all store areas align with company merchandising and presentation standards.
• Represent the company brand with integrity and professionalism, protecting confidential information, cash and merchandise.
• Adhere to company policies concerning mark-out-of-stock merchandise handling, cash/check/charge/refund transactions, and loss prevention protocols.
• Maintain high productivity and efficiency by minimizing unnecessary steps and following store best practices throughout work processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Communicate effectively and respectfully with customers, associates, and leadership.
• Basic math skills relevant to retail operations.

Physical Requirements

• Able to occasionally push, pull, or lift items over 25 pounds.
• Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Spend up to 100% of the work time standing, walking, and moving within the store.
• Operate store equipment like PDTs, registers, PCs, janitorial tools, rolling racks, and ladders.
• Stockroom shift associates must be capable of regularly pushing, pulling, and lifting over 20 pounds.
