Role Purpose

The Stock Associate plays a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience by engaging with customers and fellow associates in a friendly and respectful manner, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring merchandise is properly displayed. This role requires versatility to carry out various store functions as business demands evolve, consistently upholding the company's service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety by practicing secure behaviors, maintaining clear emergency exits, and promptly addressing or reporting hazards.
• Foster a respectful, courteous environment for customers and co-workers, acknowledging peers through company recognition programs.
• Assist customers with purchases, merchandise inquiries, and operate registers efficiently, always greeting and thanking customers warmly.
• Respond promptly to customer service requests and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting high-touch areas, and replenishing restroom supplies to maintain store and team spaces.
• Maintain professional appearance compliant with company dress code standards.
• Conduct daily merchandising tasks such as sizing and recovery to ensure an orderly, attractive store adhering to company presentation standards.
• Process incoming merchandise quickly and accurately, merchandising items following monthly guidelines and staying knowledgeable about product brands.
• Understand and apply loss prevention protocols, including merchandise protection and shortage prevention.
• Safeguard confidential information and maintain integrity in all dealings with staff and customers.
• Follow all stock disposal policies and cash handling procedures carefully with attention to detail.
• Work efficiently with urgency to maximize productivity while adhering to established store practices.

Physical Requirements

• Capability to occasionally lift, push, or pull over 25 pounds; regularly lift over 20 pounds for stockroom duties.
• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, carrying, reaching, and stooping.
• Ability to spend up to an entire work shift standing and moving about the store.
• Proficiency using store equipment, including registers, PDTs, PCs, janitorial tools, ladders, and rolling racks.
