Role Overview
We are inviting skilled drivers holding an HR licence to join our Liquid & Hazardous Waste team based in Welshpool. This full-time, permanent role primarily involves operating liquid collection vehicles within Veolia’s Waste division.
Work Schedule and Location
Monday to Friday with additional opportunities for overtime, including occasional weekend and public holiday shifts. Shift start times range between 4:00 am and 9:00 am, based at our Perth Airport location.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles to collect liquid waste securely under long-term contracts.
- Transport multiple waste types safely to designated disposal sites.
- Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Learn to handle various fleet vehicles and associated equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) licence, preferably with manual transmission experience.
- Familiarity with the Perth metropolitan area.
- Previous experience driving HR vehicles is advantageous, though training is available.
- Commitment to safety with a proactive approach.
- Willingness to pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
