HR Driver - Waste Collection and Disposal

About the Role

This permanent full-time position involves driving heavy rigid (HR) trucks to collect commercial and industrial waste. The role requires commitment to safety and high-quality service while working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Professionally and safely operate HR waste collection vehicles.
• Load, transport, and unload various commercial and industrial waste materials.
• Deliver waste to specified recycling and disposal facilities.
• Maintain excellent customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
• Adhere strictly to fatigue management laws, safety policies, and operational procedures.

Candidate Profile

• Hold an unrestricted HR driving licence.
• Experience or willingness to operate different truck types.
• Physical ability to manage manual handling tasks.
• Possession of a forklift licence is a bonus but not mandatory.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills and a positive, safety-focused attitude.
• Capable of passing a comprehensive pre-employment medical exam including drug and alcohol testing.
