About the Role
This permanent full-time position involves driving heavy rigid (HR) trucks to collect commercial and industrial waste. The role requires commitment to safety and high-quality service while working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally and safely operate HR waste collection vehicles.
- Load, transport, and unload various commercial and industrial waste materials.
- Deliver waste to specified recycling and disposal facilities.
- Maintain excellent customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
- Adhere strictly to fatigue management laws, safety policies, and operational procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Hold an unrestricted HR driving licence.
- Experience or willingness to operate different truck types.
- Physical ability to manage manual handling tasks.
- Possession of a forklift licence is a bonus but not mandatory.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills and a positive, safety-focused attitude.
- Capable of passing a comprehensive pre-employment medical exam including drug and alcohol testing.
