Draughtsman (Revit)

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Draughtsman specializing in electrical systems to work on-site in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will prepare detailed shop drawings, develop and update 3D BIM models, and coordinate with various project teams using AutoCAD and Revit MEP software.

Key Responsibilities

• Create electrical shop, installation, coordination, and as-built drawings utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Develop and revise 3D BIM models for various electrical systems including lighting, power, cable trays, containment, and earthing layouts.
• Ensure coordination of electrical drawings and models with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines.
• Detect and assist in the resolution of BIM conflicts using Revit and Navisworks tools.
• Integrate feedback from consultants and clients and update designs accordingly.
• Modify drawings based on actual site conditions and produce final as-built documentation.
• Manage drawing versions, numbering, and document control effectively.
• Collaborate with engineers, site teams, BIM teams, and other stakeholders to fulfill project needs and timelines.
• Confirm drawings comply with approved specifications, including Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), KAHRAMAA requirements, and other relevant standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Drafting, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 to 5 years of practical experience in electrical construction or MEP drafting projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit MEP software applications.
• Previous experience on projects within Qatar or the GCC region is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Navisworks and BIM coordination practices is considered an asset.
